Shazam is the go-to application for millions of users around the world who use it todiscover new music. Simply let the app listen to whatever song is playing and it can almost always come up with a match. Getting to know the name is just one part of the story, though, wouldn’t you want it to be easier to purchase that track once it has been identified? This is precisely why Shazam has added improved Google Play Music integration in its app.
Once a song has been identified in the app you’ll see a substantial Google Play Music bar that has buttons for purchasing, listening or starting a radio station with that particular song.
Just one tap will take you to the Google Play Music store from where you can purchase that track. One tap is all that’s needed to start a radio station based on the song identified by Shazam.
To promote this integration between Shazam and Google Play Music, Google is providing a three-month Google Play Music subscription trial for $.99 to new subscribers.
It goes without saying that this integration is limited to the Android app only. Shazam will integration other services like Amazon Music, Spotify, Pandora, etc on other platforms.
