ZTE A2017 Spotted In GFXBench Benchmark

Whenever there is a smartphone that is on its way to being released, you can more or less be sure that a benchmark of it will pop up – even more so should it be a highly popular device, or at least, its predecessor. Well, ZTE might not be in the same leagues as that of Apple or Samsung where smartphones are concerned, but this does not mean that they will just roll over and give up in the smartphone department. It seems that a new high-end smartphone known as the ZTE A2017 has appeared on the GFXBench benchmark site.
Based on the hardware that has been revealed, it does look as though this is a flagship device and might jolly well be the ZTE Axon 2. In terms of hardware, it will come with a 5.5” screen with a resolution of 1440 x 2560, a Snapdragon 820 SoC with a quad-core 2.1GHz CPU mated to the Adreno 530 GPU underneath the hood, 4GB of RAM, 64GB of internal storage, a 21MP rear camera that does 4K video, and an 8MP selfie shooter, all running on Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow. No idea on when this device will hit the market though, and hopefully it will arrive the FCC as another sign of further confirmation.
