Apple Watch Gets A Price Cut, New Woven Nylon Bands

As expected, Apple didn’t announce a new Apple Watch at today’s event, but it did introduce some new watch bands for its smartwatch including a new woven nylon lineup. The new band option for the Apple Watch comes in several colors including pink, yellow, black and light blue. It features a four-layer construction.
Apple has refreshed the Sport band collection with some new colors as well and has also introduced a new black version of the Milanese Loop band for the Apple Watch.
During his keynote CEO Tim Cook said that about one-third of Apple Watch owners regularly switch the bands to pair the smartwatch with different dresses, activities or seasons.
The Apple Watch only comes with one band out of the box and this means that customers are spending a considerable amount of money on purchasing extra bands so it makes perfect sense for Apple to come out with more. The new woven nylon bands for the Apple Watch are priced at $49.
The company has announced today that it’s cutting the price of its first smartwatch. The Apple Watch now starts at $299. Many retailers like Best Buy and Target have alreadydiscounted the smartwatch to this price level so Apple is just catching up to them.
Apple didn’t talk about a second-generation Apple Watch. It’s expected to come out with the new model later this year in the fall.
